My comcast cable modem service has been out all day, reported as a widespread outage in the area due to “network damage”. A comcast truck has been stopping at each one of the connection boxes in the street this evening. They finally got to ours. I watched the tech take the cover off, fiddle with some fittings on the cables, walk around his truck a few times, but the cover back on the box, then sit in his truck and I got a notice that me service was restored. Except it wasn’t. Now comcast just says “everything looks good on our end! Please reboot your equipment”.
So now I have to schedule a service call that will happen some time early next week 🤬
