I think you're asking too much, to be honest. You're asking people to give up their religion, even if it never taught them hate. I'm not Christian, but I know a lot of good ones. I even attended a 'gay church' when I was younger and those people are more about community than tradition.

I've seen religion do bad things and I've seen it do good things. Saying it's ALL bad is short-sighted.
