@stefan well, I personally think that if we get sold out to ads, that'd come directly from AP since it's financially influenced by meta and Auttomatic now, and as such would make their way to mastodon eventually anyway.

With Mastodon, I'm worried that their will be more of the same inaction on critical features and issues that have already gone ignored within the 4,000+ issues on the GitHub. I feel this is a move to get Mastodon more funding, but that funding will just go to line the pockets of the people in charge of the non-profit and nothing will get done. It's a very corporate move from a "company" that claims to be "for the people".😔
