I have deleted my own personal Facebook account over 6 years ago now (and never regretted it!) :facebook: :nes_fire:
But, about 3 years ago,
I realized I had forgotten to delete one of my business' Facebook account.
When I tried to login again
to delete it, even with my correct credentials and access to my email, I had been locked out.
Long story short, after a completely maddening back and forth, it is now FINALLY fully deleted, thanks to the help from my local Data Protection Authority.
All of that to say:
👉 If you are barely using your Facebook account (or any other Meta account), deleting it now is MUCH easier than letting it collect dust.
👉 If you have already been locked out (they love to do this to VPN users), you still likely have options by placing a complaint with your local Data Protection Authority.
👉 Deleting the accounts you no longer intend to use as soon as feasible is always a good practice for your data privacy and data security.
