mccA thing worth noting here is if you read my posts carefully above, you'll find I successfully executed a BEGIN .. UNTIL program in pforth. So pforth just relaxes the requirements of gforth. I don't think I've hit what is causing pforth to crash yet. I'm just trying to satisfy gforth's requirements for running the software at all. Maybe I should have read gforth's manual instead of assuming pforth's is adequate :(
