jonny (good kind)THIS MOVIE silently engages with the problem of gender throughout, where the motivation for the devil girl from mars is having killed all men in a "war of the sexes" which is NEVER MENTIONED AGAIN. the men then display a range of behaviors that provide the SILENT backstory to the war of the sexes - criminality, sealion scientist, being hella annoying, etc. THE ENDING is a very literal tragedy for women, where through sheer bluster and dumb luck men overpower even the hyperintelligent, hyperadvanced women from mars, and then proceed to ignore the deep trauma experienced by the woman standing not feet away from them #monsterdon
