    I am glad I have the vterm. It means I can back up the 2 files I wanted to keep. However, I feel pretty confident now. I am not sticking with Debian. My landing point is more likely to be an Ubuntu derivative (maybe Mint) than a Debian. The problem is not exactly that Debian did not *work*. I am not expecting to find something perfect. The problem is that Debian failed to provide the specific things I was seeking Debian for (that is, rock solid reliability). (2/2)

      Alright Debian was a bust ( https://mastodon.social/@mcc/113761063542300374 ). If using the more stable distro didn't work, I should try the LESS stable distro. Time to run an ALPHA OS ON MY DAILY DRIVER! https://system76.com/cosmic/ Very first thought: I really hate it when a webpage has a "download" link, but the download link is a .htm that redirects to the true link, because it means you can't "save link as" and send it somewhere else. My C drive is perpetually full.
