Impossible coding challenge: Programmatically retrieve the list of individual games (and ideally their metadata) from your Steam account into a CSV file or similar simple machine readable format: json, yaml, toml, etc. but not HTML or XML.
Imagine if you wanted to sort your games by name, hours played, etc. and you wanted to import the data into a basic database like SQLite, Excel, or Access. In the best possible case you would not need to manually cut and paste from a web page but could run a command like `get_my_steam_games > my_games.csv`
I do not believe this is possible. I have spent an hour or so trying to get a single file Python application from 5 years ago to run, worked around one or two problems only to fail mysteriously inside something called "geckodriver' at which point I declared the project impossible.
When I tell people I have less trouble getting 40-50 year old Fortran codes to run than recent Python codes, I'm not sure they understand that I am speaking literally. Even restricting oneself to Python standard library functions is no defense. It's both amazing and appalling how much human effort is wasted writing code that will not run in 3-5 years.
