Paul KnightlyJust learned second hand via Bsky that a certain storm chaser has 'partnered' with an online gambling service, and promoting it on X as a means of betting on weather events. The screenshots of him trying to defend it are really sad to see, but unfortunately seems to be the direction the weather world has been moving in recent years (sponsorships, blockchain shilling, etc). I've already taken several steps back to distance myself from that community and starting off 2025 by taking several more.
