I think Linux works best for people who have either extremely normal workflows, or are happy to spend lots of time noodling with the details. Sadly I’m in neither camp, I have just enough edge cases for it never quite work optimally out of the box, but not enough time or inclination to tinker enough to work around those things. I used to like OS X as a middle ground but Apple ruined that so Windows is now the least friction (if far from zero)
