I realize I should be crystal clear: The OP is not subtooting anyone in the current discussions in the forums.

I’m thinking of my own past behavior, and the behavior of a handful of other people on the forums years ago (when it was still a mailing list!), all of us badgering each other into complete distress with back-and-forth replies that helped nothing and no one. I post my personal rules above in the hope I can spare somebody else that experience.
