Dr. Eric J. Fielding, PhD@AlaskaWx @Climatologist49 Thanks for the explanation. I read the temperature at 17 Km as 0 C with the dew point -30 C. The temperature is decreasing with height above about 850 mbars, which is what I expected. The temperature below has that extra cold that Brian mentioned.
