just wanted to drop in and thank you and your friends for putting your foot down. i am a woman of color (slavic) and feel deeply unsafe seeing this behavior. so it gives me hope whenever i see someone stand up against racist ableists like this.

it not only takes courage to compile all the misdeeds these alt right trolls post (because of course they will get upset and never want to own up to anything), but its also great that your friend i presume? was so bothered by him writing the word "based" so often, they took time out their day to hop into his DMs to start arguing with him about it. thats awesome and of course his response was completely unacceptable and makes me #fediblock him even more, but it probably genuinely upset him and if he would get more pushback like this, he would realize that being this mean is just not worth it.

so yeah, it might seem like a drop in the bucket to you sometimes, but trust me, this pushback makes a difference to poc women like me who are also disabled (adhd, german socialization). so never stop getting angry at this behavior, never stop investing time into getting people to stop saying "based" and never stop posting about it.
