In the foreground is a large dead tree that has been snapped over creating an L shape. Where the breakage happened there are whirls of twisted bark, like a knee joint. Much of the remaining bark on the trees is covered in bright green moss and lichen. Beyond the tree is a winding brook zigzagging its way to a waterfall that can barely be made in the distance. The brook is shallow and has to route itself around stones. This is a rare area of the forest where there are an equal amount of deciduous trees as there are hemlocks and pines. The lack of leaves in winter gives a pretty clear view straight back to the waterfall where other times of the year it would be hidden.</a></label><br><a href="https://cdn.masto.host/woodedstream/media_attachments/files/113/736/366/737/021/565/original/59f576a1b1b3fd33.jpeg" rel="external">https://cdn.masto.host/woodedstream/media_attachments/files/113/736/366/737/021/565/original/59f576a1b1b3fd33.jpeg</a></li></ol></footer></blockquote>
