Jewish ethnic identity is a reactionary social construct that served to lay an ideological foundation for #Zionism as a racial hierarchy where a fictional and distinct "Jewish Race" with an unbroken lineage tracing back to the ancient Canaanite tribes of the near East occupied the highest rung on the ladder, and the Indigenous Palestinians occupied the lowest. The same is true of the "white race", which was constructed only to oppose Blackness via the creation of a similar racial hierarchy.
