Eric Ireland@quasi It did seem to be a bit of a waste of space back when they had ticket machines on the trams. I can see why they wanted to get rid of them and it used to slow down the bus drivers when they had to deal with cash, but still they should have waited until they had card readers that could do smart card transactions before they did away with cash.
