There’s a news story today about a Denver hospital’s nurses “saving time” with AI generated notes. Here’s the thing — this isn’t a flex for AI. It is an absolute indictment of the completely worthless bullshit plan of care notes we force nurses to complete.

If I come in to work and look up a patient I admitted yesterday, there will be one or two nursing notes that are a template of standardized busy work garbage. What there won’t be is the old-style RN notes with really important information.
