@huxley Part of the trouble seems to be that Musk is, despite everything, actually popular with folks. Teslas sell, people are still sticking around on X, and Musk still gets to cosplay as a smart person in fawning interviews.

The most odious shit he's done, like spending $200m demonizing trans folks, is stuff that the Democrats largely agree with, at least if the NDAA vote is anything to go by.
