It was an unseasonably warm day and the sun came out, too. If it's warm, it's wet this time of year, usually.
There were half a dozen sparrows sitting on the lilac bush that pops over the fence from the neighbor's. They were all fluffed up, shaking their wings and twitching their tails in the sun and generally being very cute, even if it seemed a bit odd. And then I noticed water splashes all over the fence and on the ground by the bird bath. I had apparently just missed a very joyful bath time.
