@newt Can you stop being a Reply Guy for one second and perhaps ready my thread? My entire argument is that C is not safe by default, and amounts to a hazing ritual for new developers or even somewhat experienced devs standing up a new project.

By the same token, having to manually vendor in code that can help manage the unsafety of C is also not a great thing.

Well-actuallying me about points I've already made isn't a great strategy.
