Both albums are earnest, if unpolished forays into the (then) newly developing post-punk genre, but Boys Don't Cry is greatly bolstered by the inclusion of 3 additional singles; the title track, Jumping Someone Else's Train and a song The Cure doesn't play anymore because it was appropriated by nazis who don't read Camus.
