The past is a different country, but so is the future. We have no idea where we will be, what things will hold together and what will fall apart in the impending chaos. So I'm preparing for the next decade like an unknown, unpredictable travel itinerary.

By that I mean, getting passports while we still have an operational state department, and getting vaccines, even some available unlikely ones, because...who knows. (If mpox comes roaring back five years from now with an anti-vax government??)
