@AnnaAnthro Yep, the producers and writers understand what an "adaptation" is. They know an adaptation is in the essence and spirit of the original source, not necessarily casting local actors, adding a local culture touch, or sticking as close as possible to the original source material.
Because of this, whenever they create adaptations—be it local or abroad—they produce excellent adaptation works. Look at «Little Women» for example. I've read English comments how it was not an adaptation because nothing came from the original material. However, it was indeed an adaptation of the original!
