Travler@JdeBP @cstross Science Fiction is just that Sci-Fi. To what I refer is actual development of stand alone technology along with Tech adaptions to personal and industrial equipment. I'm old enough to remember my Father farming with mules/horses. My first trip to town was in a wagon pulled by mules. He progressed to tractors, irrigation equipment, we got electricity, propane to cook & heat, phones to communicate. It's not Sci-Fi but it was part of the change that continues today.
