@mariusor I didn't write an opinion piece that aims for a compromise. This is our analysis of the ethics of recommender systems. The conclusion, according to the principles we lay out, is that the recommender systems need to be removed entirely.
I'm not writing this as one side of a debate that seeks political action. So, according to the form of our writing, there's no point to even mention a compromise.
There's a place for advocacy but also for a radical critique. This is the latter.
