jwz@benetherington @mwichary Based on the behavior I saw, I'm reasonably certain that the web browser is saying, "I don't know what 'system' is, I will ask the OS". @mwichary 's macOS is saying "yes, here is the font 'system' that you asked for" whereas my macOS is saying "nope never heard of it" and then the browser moves on to the next one in the list.
