That's an option, but don't feel like you have to.

You can install Win 11 on "unsupported" devices, and if your computer is just for the internet and office work a beginner friendly Linux OS like Linux Mint will work great.
You'll probably surprise yourself with how easily you can pick this stuff up, and Mastodon is pretty techy/friendly if you have trouble (I follow you, do tech support at work, and am available by DM).
