[Setting up Snap on Linux Mint can] give you access to software like Spotify, FreeCAD, and JetBrains.

All of those are available as Flatpaks as well.
Spotify: https://flathub.org/apps/com.spotify.Client
FreeCAD: https://flathub.org/apps/org.freecad.FreeCAD
JetBrains: https://flathub.org/apps/collection/developer/JetBrains%20s.r.o./1
Unfortunately @linuxmint perpetuates the double standard between unverified Flatpaks and distro packages which are almost all ‘unverified’ in the exact same way. :blobcatgooglytrash:
If this ‘only show verified Flatpaks by default’ thing spreads to other distros, it can do nothing but hurt Linux adoption as a whole. :blobfacepalm:
