Grafitti/mural in an alley in Five Points, Denver, Colorado I visited old friend Spike in Denver last October. October seems like years ago, doesn't it? I haven't been in Denver since 1995. The Denver where I lived in the 80s and 90s no longer exists, save for some revenants poking up through the new. When I left in '95, the population of the greater Denver area was 1.6 million; now it is almost 3 million. One positive change is a great profusion of street art, murals, and graffiti.
