Today at work I found a slide deck which was purportedly about personal development as an adult, and was actually a 50-slide presentation about the kind of knowledge found in occult tomes, framed in the language of psychological development.
The goal of personal development is framed as development toward the "alchemical self" and it begins with a short lecture on the illusory nature of reality.
