Putting aside the half dozen or so really gross narratives this contributes to just in general—which we shouldn't, but for the sake of argument—that is simply flat an inappropriate response to asking men to stand up proactively to rape threats by other men.
Setting aside all narratives of the glorification of weapons, the victim-blaming mindset, and the patriarchal assumptions… Setting _all_ of that aside it is still simply an inappropriate response.
