Decased passed. And, yet, no X11 software can't compete with SLRN as a news reader. Xrn sucked, shitty defaults having the user to set its *own* buttons for common cmds. Knews looked better, but I have issues on reusing slrn's cache. Pan doesn't have a graphical way to globally kick down the ass from some troll, and no easy way to always get *all* the damn headers from a server. Slrn does. With an assistant.

I'd guess a TCL/Tk based one (with tcl-tls) would teach Pan a thing or two.
