Bit of a nationalist post here, but learning Spanish as an American is letting them win. Any other country would expect you to learn the native language of the country you are immigrating to. It's completely unrealistic for me to move to somewhere like Japan and refuse to learn Japanese. Why is it okay for people to immigrate to America and not learn English?
