@That-Mushroom the feeling I get from this particular situation is this guy thought he was more important that he was, and ran off his mouth. He thought organizing a dinner where some rich guys give trump $20-50k a pop for a few mil was going to get him full direct authority.

This is not uncommon in rich guys, especially jews.
