I've been building operating systems for fun since as long as I've been programming (see also: the 24 hours worth youtube videos where you can watch an overtired me stream real-time writing a risc-v kernel that can run doom - surprisingly popular)

For the next one I write I'm going to have the base of a display server and apps ready to go - without any of the associated overhead, which will be lots of fun.
