#MutualAid request: Help a US trans person pay for their passport

I'm posting on behalf of a personal friend, colleague and artistic collaborator of mine in the US who needs urgent financial help to complete their paperwork following legal recognition of their transition.

Current conditions make it imperative that they have the ability to travel, not only to have the possibility of escape from a challenging family situation but also from the potentially volatile political climate of the USA.

They're so incredibly close. In the last year, thanks to vast efforts of pulling together personal funds, they've received gender affirming surgery and have completed the process of changing their name and gender marker, as well as updating their ID, medical and banking details, all that stuff.

They're currently off fedi due to intensely difficult personal circumstances, but you can have a look at the beginnings of their portfolio account at @supernovacircus. They are also available to take art commissions via their Ko-Fi inbox.

They've done commissioned work for me and I can vouch for their identity, so please feel free to DM me if you require any confirmation that this is a genuine person with a pressing need for financial assistance.
