An X-Men story which starts with the sentinels showing up and attacking mutants in the middle of a city before quickly shifting into a political drama as the public and media rages over the government sending giant robots into dense population centers which moves the focus from mutants to the hastily made investigation committee that wades into the bureaucratic mess caused by officials and politicians who are trying to cover their ass and shift blame away from themselves.

The rest of the story is tense office moments, tired people in suits talking in angry teleconference calls and lots of daytime drinking.
