I'm getting yelled at by text by some guy who asked for something I was giving away for free on Craigslist.

He emailed me last night to say he wanted it and gave me his number, saying "you can reach me either by calling me or texting me."

I text him right away, but I never heard back. This afternoon, someone else asked for the item, so I said sure.

Tonight the first guy text me back and said he wants the item. I said I was sorry, but since he didn't reply for almost an entire day, I offered it to someone else.

He rudely text back and said, "You didn't call me as I requested. Text messages are silent, but phone calls ring. I could have followed through if you had called as I requested."

I guess he thinks "calling or texting" means "call only."

Too bad for him! I would have still given him second dibs if the other person flakes, but since he's being a dick, he gets no dibs at all
