Robert Link@KimPerales I've quoted elsewhere a nice bit from the movie "Local Hero," in which an oil "scientist" talks placidly about averting the next ice age by diverting the gulf stream and melting the ice caps. This isn't something touted as a danger to avoid, but the actual goal.
