The problem is that a significant number of Obama voters did and while I think you're right, Jason, about the misogyny, that would account for the union demographic minority that voted for Trump. There still exists predominantly male unions who believe women still don't belong in the workplace where they are, and I say this as a former member of the IBEW with that experience.

We also have the oddities of Muslims voting for a man who instituted a Muslim ban, and Hispanics who proclaimed a massive deportation program. The only reason for that I can see is Abrahamic belief that non-binary people are seriously abhorrent and don't tell me about all the non-binary successes down-ballot because they were all down-ballot. There exists no other explanation for the Muslim and Hispanic vote. It's obvious where the pro-Israel Democratic AIPAC vote went.
