Today I cleaned and de-rusted a pair of machinists vices I found on the scrapyard a while ago. By the looks of it they're some apprentice pieces, and they are beautiful!
But they do have some issues as well, the one on the bottom has significant jaw lift, while the one with the rotatable jaw has its pin at a slight angle so the jaw can't actually be screwed down when rotated around. Maybe re-drilling and -reaming that hole for a bigger, straight pin will solve that.
