I worry about the climate costs of many full copies.</p><p>One accidental design feature in <a href="https://mamot.fr/tags/Mastodon" rel="tag">#Mastodon</a> is how an instance serves as "relay" with a cache of posts and media caused haphazardly by whatever happens to federate.
