I've heard that it does get bootlickery toward the middle/end of the run, but the early seasons of the A-Team are just:
- unionize
- cops are incompetent and corrupt
- every small town is run by organized crime and it is the duty of every citizen to meet them in the streets, with violence, and protect one another, no matter the personal costs
- the military is incompetent and corrupt
- be nice to children
- if there's a bad guy in your town, it's probably a rich white guy and he's going to get stomped by Mr. T.
