@VikingWays @Jewpacabra the Anne Frank thing is of course very suspicious, but I think the father said something like he "rewrote" parts or something, which is of course a lie that is just passable enough.

Anne Frank just needs to be retired from history. Sure she probably hid from people that wanted to remove her. So did thousands of people in the USSR.

This is why I talk about ethnic cleansing as being the uncomfortable part of WW2 that is the genesis of this whole problem.
