This is something a friend of mine from the US wrote back in July, when we were discussing the then upcoming election. I had noted that I liked Kamala Harris.

This was his reply.

“Same. I gotta say though, as much as this country loves its racism, it loves its misogyny more. I mean, imagine giving the right to vote to something you considered property 50 years before women.”

That’s been living rent free in my head since then and it just got a couple more rooms and a friggin hot tub.
