I hate to criticize a historically good neighbor.

We (Canadians) can roll our eyes inane "USA! USA! USA!" choruses at every public gathering; h/e:

* white supremacism, misogyny, xenophobia, colonialism, institutional racism, structural violence, conservatism are deeply embedded within our own culture/society

* internet bifurcated society into real world, and virtual world (independent of geopolitical borders)
* social media toxicity, post-truthism (virtual world) affects real-world issues
