I remember a website full of photos of Americans holding up signs saying 'Sorry' after Dubya beat Gore.

That was when I first became aware of two USAs - the progressive, accepting, colourful, sexy, future-looking one, and the very religious and puritanical one, where fellow teenagers were taught only about abstinence.

There always were two. I guess there are these two camps - maybe split along different lines - in many countries and continents now.

I dunno. I'm just sad.
