@HelloIt_sMe45 Emacs, because you can control so much of Linux with just text (code), and Emacs takes care of program editing, note taking, file management, process management and job control, terminal emulation, terminal multiplexing, documentation browsing, e-mail, RSS feeds, Mastodon feeds, and the text-only web. And all of it is configurable and scriptable with a single programming language (Emacs Lisp).
Emacs is not an editor, it is a full app platform like the web, but simper and easier to setup and with direct access to your operating systems files and processes.
