Charlie Stross@rupert @grease I am 60 and I mislike this too. However ... the old guys in question are gasoline addicts. They can't imagine a world that doesn't run on gas (for which they get paid indirectly by their client billionaires) so they will fight to defend it, even though it's going to kill the rest of us.
