at the suggestion of staff, users, friends, my mom, my fiance i am going to update the mothly tally to include the costs of hardware in october and our transit costs with crunchbits in december as an average over the year. its not realistic for us to operate something at this scale for as little as we are (inflation, rising cost of employment, transit costs) spiking. our costs will only increase as everything else does.

i have cut corners where i can, as i can for as long as i can but it's no longer possible so i will be increasing the meter. the meter doesnt take into consideration one-off donations, crypto dontions or the like, which normally there would be enough to cover but this year we are in a major deficit, about -2500% year over year

the point of this post isnt to make anybody donate or to make anybody feel bad but to draw attention to the fact we also are now facing inflation and we need to adapt to that, as well.
